Cleaburn Leslie Burnett
Aug. 28, 1928 - Feb. 7, 2007

Cleaburn Leslie Burnett a resident of Modesto, CA for 42 years passed away unexpectedly in his home on February 7, 2007. The son of Lionel Burnett, Cleaburn was born August 28, 1928 in Blair, Oklahoma.

Cleaburn and his wife Dorothy moved to California in 1945 where they worked hard and raised 4 boys.

Cleaburn was the oldest of 7 children and was preceded in death by 5 siblings and wife of 60 years Dorothy May Shawver, the love of his life and foundation of his existence and survived by caring sister Shirley Ann Dunn.

Mr. Burnett retired from Ortho Chemical and enjoyed outdoor activities such as fishing and hunting. One of his favorite pastimes was playing dominoes with his sons, grandchildren, and nephew.

Mr. Burnett was proud of his 4 boys and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Cleaburn will be greatly missed by his sons and daughters-in-law William Leslie and Ilene, Bruce Wayne and Karen, Carl Wesley and Sondra and Cleaburn Dennis and Janice and 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Troy and Bill for their support for Dad in the time after Dorothy's passing.

Chapel Services will be Monday February 12, 2007 at 10:00AM at Lakewood Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday noon to 4:00 PM at the Funeral Home.

Cleaburn Burnett will forever be remembered for his strength. We love you Dad.
