Mildred Ilene Farmer was born on Nov. 19, 1927 in Stigler, Oklahoma to George and Elizabeth Wren and went to be with the Lord on October 11, 2003, in Bakersfield.
She came to Delano when she was 15, liking the California climate, palm trees and grape vineyards. Later at the age of 19 she married Eugene Farmer.
She fought the good fight and ran a triumphant race. Mildred enjoyed discussing God's word, writing poetry and singing Christian songs. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a good friend.
