LAVERNE - The funeral for Ima Jean Simons Caldwell , 73, of Laverne, will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 9, 2010, at First Assembly of God Church, Laverne. The Rev. Wes Peterman will officiate. Burial will be in Laverne Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are by Billings Funeral Home, Woodward. Visitation will be 1-6 p.m. today and until service time Friday at the church. She was born March 17, 1937, in Seiling to Lee O. and Emma Eleanor Colton Simons and died Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at Mooreland Heritage Manor. She was raised in Laverne and worked at Town Theater. She married Jack Stinson and later married Rufus Arthur "Shorty" Caldwell III Sept. 25, 1968, in Woodward. His career took them all over the United States before moving to Laverne in 1991, where they lived until she moved to a nursing home. She was a member of Assembly of God Church.

Surviving are her husband, Shorty, of Laverne; her mother, Emma Simons; three sons, Lee Oran Stinson and Jack James "Doc" Stinson Jr., both of Woodward and Gary Wade Stinson of Laverne; one daughter, Jolanda Stinson Knight of Norman; two sisters, Bonnie Meyer and Patsy Ward, both of Laverne; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two grandchildren.
