The funeral for Richard Freedolf Anderson, 79, of Laverne , will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008, at United Methodist Church, Laverne . The Rev. Roger Parker will officiate. Burial will be in Laverne Memorial Cemetery, Laverne . Arrangements are by Myatt Funeral Home, Laverne . Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. today and 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

He was born Feb. 13, 1929, southeast of Follett, Texas, to Raymond F. and Mae Dishen Anderson and died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008, at Grace Living Center, Buffalo.

He graduated from Laverne High School in 1947. He married Norma Gene Ashcraft May 28, 1950, in Englewood, Kan. She died June 26, 1993. He married Margie Lee Ingram Jan. 7, 1995, in Blackwell. He was a farmer/ rancher. He was a member of United Methodist Church, Laverne .

Surviving are his wife, Margie of the home; one son, Danny Ray Anderson of Laverne ; two daughters, Debra Mae Jones of Tulsa, and Cindy Jo Weigand of Georgetown, Texas; four step-daughters, Vickie Williamson of Tulsa, Sherry Brown of Cushing, Trisha Hester of Kincaid, Kan., and Carolyn Oakley of Laverne ; one brother, Curtis Anderson of Bentonville, Ark.; one sister, Melba Irwin of Newkirk; four grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; and 12 step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Norma.
