HOLLIS, Okla. - Samuel Arthur Patterson, 93, died Friday, Dec. 28, 2001.
Services were at 3 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church chapel of Hollis with the Rev. Jim Westmoreland officiating. Burial was in Fairmount Cemetery by Stewart Funeral Services of Hollis.
Mr. Patterson was born Jan. 12, 1908, on the family homestead in Harmon County to Samuel J. and Lucy Ayers Patterson. He was a lifelong resident of Harmon County living on that homestead farming cotton, wheat and melons.
Survivors include three sons, the Rev. James C. Patterson of Star City, Ariz., Ronnie A. Patterson of Hutcheson, Kan., and Tommy J. Patterson of Dodson; a daughter, Betty L. Seba of Larned, Kan.; a brother, James Patterson of Red River, N.M.; a sister, Lela Luick of Hollis; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Colonial Manor II Nursing Home, activities department; or to First Baptist Church of Hollis.
