Cecil Weaver, 60 year old May, Texas resident and formerly of Mangum, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, January 31, 2016 at his home in May, Texas.

Cecil was born in Mangum, Oklahoma on August 18, 1955 to his parents William L. and Betty Jane (Harris) Weaver. He grew up in Mangum and went on to serve his country in the United States Army during Vietnam with tours to include Germany and he received an honorable discharge. On January 16, 1987 Cecil married Tammy Butler in Smithville, Texas and they enjoyed 29 years of marriage raising their two daughters. He worked as an engineer for the Union Pacific Railroad and retired in 1999. Cecil was a member of the Knox City, Texas Church of Christ and he enjoyed fishing and hunting, and spending time with his family.

Preceded in death by his parents; one brother, William Timothy Weaver; and one sister, Dolly Jane Schoolcraft; Cecil is survived by his wife of the home Tammy; two daughters, Jennifer Roe and her husband Cory of Millsap, Texas and Amanda Weaver and her significant other, Mike Taylor both of May, Texas; two brothers, Edgar Weaver and his wife LaWana Janice of Smithville, Texas; and Floyd Glen Weaver and his wife Darlene of Weatherford, Texas; one granddaughter Isabelle Weaver; his special niece, Kelsey Weaver of Holliday, Texas; as well as nieces and nephews, other family members, and many friends.

The family will greet friends at visitation from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Greer Funeral Home in Mangum, Oklahoma.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, February 5, 2016 at the Greer Funeral Home Chapel in Mangum with Pastors Edgar Weaver and James Callins officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Mangum with Military honors rendered by the United States Army.
