Kenneth Wayne Parker, age 71, of Mangum, passed away early Tuesday morning, February 26, 2013, at Mercy Health Center, in Oklahoma City.

Mr. Parker was born in Sulphur Springs, Texas on February 9, 1942, to Marvin and Dollie Lee (Milsap) Parker. Growing up in Commerce, Texas, where he attended school, Kenneth began working in the construction industry, with his brother, at age thirteen. On December 5, 1975, Kenneth married Bonnie Faye Styles, in Cooper, Texas. In 1976, they moved to Grand Prarie, Texas where Kenneth laid brick for many years until they moved to Mangum in 2001. In his spare time, Kenneth enjoyed fishing and watching western movies on television.

Kenneth was preceded in death by a baby brother; his parents; two sisters, Louise Pierce and Mary Sue Goforth; two brothers, Bill Parker and Otis Parker and a granddaughter, Darlene Amber King. Survivors include his wife Bonnie Parker, of the home; three children, Elizabeth Parker of Texas, Lillie Sue Parker and Chad DeVinny of Mangum and Susan Faye Maiorka and husband Joe of Mangum; two grandsons, Cody Parker and Timothy Skilicky of Mangum along with many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Kenneth Parker will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, February 28, 20, 2013, at Abundant Life Church with Pastor Stephen Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery under the direction of Greer Funeral Home of Mangum.
