Madeline Clark Moore, age 83, was born in Mangum, Oklahoma on June 17, 1928 to Clarence Orin and Mary Angeline (Walters) Clark. She passed away peacefully on February 22, 2012 with her daughters by her side. Madeline was raised on a farm in the Ladessa community, south of Mangum, and moved to Mangum at the age of 14.
She graduated from Mangum High School, class of 1946, and loved all of her classmates dearly. The Alumni Association was a big part of her life and she stayed in contact with many of her friends from school as well as many other Mangum residents.
Madeline spent all of her life living in Oklahoma and Texas. She and her husband, Moose Moore, spent fifteen years living at Lake Tawakoni in East Texas. She moved to Tomball, Texas three years ago to be closer to her daughters.
She was a loving mother to Kathy and Pam, a remarkable woman, full of life and loved by many.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Orin Clark, her husband, Robert Moore, and her brother, Wayne Clark. She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Vaeza and Pam Koudelka of Houston, Texas, her Grandson, Michael Vaeza of Houston, Texas, her brother and sister-in-law, Happy and Voncille Clark of Casper, Wyoming and many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and loving and lifelong friends.
Graveside memorial services for Madeline Moore will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 21, 2012, with Rev. Marsha Purtell officiating. Services are under the direction of Greer Funeral Home of Mangum.
