Obituary published in Norman Transcript on 9/10/2017:

Molly Harrell, a long-time resident of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away at Norman Regional HealthPlex surrounded by family on the 25th of August, 2017 at the age of 87.

Molly was born Molly Sue Wilson in 1930 in Mangum, Oklahoma to Fern (McCool) and Frank H Wilson. She attended Abilene Christian College and later graduated from Southwestern State College in 1952, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree. Her watercolor paintings still decorate many of her family members’ homes. Molly went on to teach elementary school in Texas, was a great seamstress, and enjoyed many RV road trips all around the USA.

In her golden years, her life was filled with the joy of winning as many bridge games as she could, socializing at Rose Rock Villa and the senior center, dining at Golden Corral, expressing her beauty as a fashionista, and loving on her parrot, Charlie. She treasured frequent phone calls with her children and spending time with Charles Dragg, her loving partner, and his family.

She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings. She is survived by her partner, Charles Dragg, her son, Kevin Jones, her daughter, Elizabeth Arcuri, and 3 grandchildren: Chani Farhaven, Briar Jones, and Grant Jones.

Private family services will be held later in Mangum, OK, where Molly will be buried in Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Soft Landings Parrot Rescue in Owasso, OK.
