Mary Jane (Kraft) Boyle

Mary Jane Boyle, age 88, of Mangum, passed away early Sunday morning, January 13, 2013, at her residence in Mangum, Oklahoma.

Mrs. Boyle was born on December 18, 1924 to Julius Gerhardt and Lola Maude (Petty) Kraft in Rock Island, Illinois. At age five, Mary and her family moved to Inglewood, California, where she graduated from high school. After her graduation, she worked at the Long Beach Naval Station. On August 4, 1945, she married the love of her life, Peter John Boyle III, in Inglewood, California and they spent the next sixty-four wonderful years together, before his death on August 17, 2009. In 1963, Mary and her family moved from Arizona, where they were engaged in farming, to Mangum where they purchased the John Deere dealership. Mary worked as a Pink Lady at Mangum City Hospital and was actively involved with the Cancer Bazaar. In her free time, she thoroughly enjoyed reading and spending time with her family and friends.

Preceded in death by her husband and parents, she is survived by two daughters, Claudia Boyle of Mangum and Cynthia Petzold and husband Joe of Granite; four grandchildren, Emily Boyle of Mangum, John Boyle of Mangum, Katie Brandes and husband James of Stillwater and Jake Petzold and wife Blair of Sentinel; two great grandchildren, Cayden Brandes of Stillwater and Jovi Petzold of Sentinel along with many other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services for Mary Boyle will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 19, 2013, at Greer Funeral Home Chapel in Mangum. Interment will follow at the Riverside Cemetery under the direction of Greer Funeral Home of Mangum.
