Neomia Summers, 87, of Amarillo died Wednesday, May 22, 2002.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with Bob Thomas of Crown of Texas Hospice officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Summers was born in Willow, Okla. She married Clyde L. Summers in 1934 at Brinkman, Okla. She moved to Amarillo in 1944 from Belen, N.M.
Pallbearers include grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1986.
Survivors include a sister, Inez Riggs of Bethany, Okla.; two daughters, LaNell Vaughan of Deer Park and Fern Patrick of Amarillo; a son, Harold Summers of Amarillo; six grandchildren, Dana Barbour, Debbie Golden, Jimmy Patrick, Sheri Newton, Jeri Riddle and James Vaughan; 11 great-grandchildren, Brandi Barbour, Jeremy Patrick, Bryan Barbour, Amy Newton, Christopher Golden, Justin Patrick, Jason Newton, Eric Golden, Jase Patrick, James Vaughan and Taylor Riddle; and two great-great-grandchildren, Brenda Hyatt and Caden Patrick.
The family suggests memorials be to Crown of Texas Hospice, 1000 S. Jefferson St., Amarillo, TX 79109.
