MANGUM, Okla. - James McGowen, 70, died Saturday, March 9, 2002.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Pitson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery by Greer Funeral Home.
Mr. McGowen was born Feb. 23, 1932, in Memphis, Texas. He married Peggy J. Carroll on Dec. 22, 1950, in Amarillo, Texas.
Survivors include his wife; two children, Linda Hall of Mangum and Carl McGowen of Wellsville, Utah; a brother, Gary Don McGowen of Midland, Texas; two sisters, Dell Harbour of Cotton Center, Texas, and Jolene Gravestock of Apple Valley, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
