Rosemound Cemetery



The funeral for Ethel Ulrey, a former resident of Enid, was at 10:30 AM today at Schaeffer – Reager Mortuary Chapel in Caldwell, Kansas. Burial was at Rosemound Cemetery in Medford.

Mrs. Ulrey was born in 1893 in Illinois to Mr. and Mrs. James L. Armstrong. She moved with the family to Oklahoma soon after the Cherokee Strip Run, settling on a homestead in the Cleo Springs – Ringwood area. The family later moved to the Lamont – Medford area. She married Charles Ulrey. The couple had three children. After his death, she returned to the Medford area, later living in Enid and South Haven, Kansas.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Louis (June) Yunker, South Haven, Kansas; 14 grandchildren; and 24 great – grandchildren.

Besides her husband, Charles, she was preceded in death by two sons.

Memorials may be made to Wheatland Manor Nursing Home in South haven, Kansas.
