ENID — Memorial service for Ronald P. "Ron" Privett, 68, of Ponca City, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at Faith Tabernacle Church, Ponca City. Graveside inurnment rites will be 2 p.m. in Rosemound Cemetery, Medford. Arrangements by Hills-Ely Funeral Home, Medford.

Ron was born Dec. 15, 1942, in Enid to Franklin and Mary Jane Privett and died Saturday, May 21, 2011, in Wichita, Kan., after a courageous battle with cancer.

He graduated from Medford High School and Northwestern Oklahoma State University.

Ron was a wheat farmer in the Medford and Wakita areas.

On Oct. 24, 1998, he and Margy Ault Neiderman were married in Ponca City.

He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1964 until 1968.

Among the survivors are his wife, Margy; children, Scott Privett and Melissa Privett; sister, Marilyn Aldrich; and four granddaughters.

Memorials may be made to Vietnam Veterans Chapter 750 or the charity of your choice with Hills-Ely Funeral Home, P.O. Box 280, Medford, OK 73759 serving as custodian of the funds.
