Rosemound Cemetery


The memorial service for Margaret Ann Postlewaite, 77, of Medford, will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, at Hills-Ely Funeral Home, Medford. The Rev. Bobby Smith will officiate. A private inurnment will be held in Rosemound Cemetery at a later date.

She was born Aug. 10, 1932, in Fairview to James Howard and Alice Ruth Thurman Crowley and died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010, at Highland Park Manor.

She attended school in Fairview, Huntington Park, Calif., Enid and Nash.

She married Lyle Postlewaite Aug. 18, 1950, in Medford.

She was a homemaker, a waitress at Four-Corners Restaurant, near Pond Creek, and owner-operator of Lyle's Drive In, Medford. He died in 1970 and she continued to operate the business. She later worked at Medford Tavern until she retired.

Surviving are four children, R.W. Postlewaite of Sulphur, La., Kathy Wehrenberg of Enid, Bill Postlewaite of Medford and James Postlewaite of Oklahoma City; one sister, Alma Clemons of Medford; one brother, Jay Crowley of Jet; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and her companion, Gene Haws.

In addition to her husband, Lyle, she was preceded in death by one son, three brothers and one sister.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home, P.O. Box 280, Medford, OK 73759, to Hospice Circle of Love or Medford Ambulance fund.
