MEDFORD — Funeral service for Steven "Steve" Keith Cink, 54, of Medford, will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at First United Methodist Church, Medford. The Revs. Ruth Tipps, Bill Reynolds and Sandy Reeves-Shepherd will officiate. Interment will follow in Rosemound Cemetery, Medford. Arrangements are under the direction of Hills-Ely Funeral Home, Medford. The casket will be open at the funeral home only. Condolences may be made at www.hills-elyfuneralhome.com.

Steve was born June 7, 1956, in Enid to Donald James Cink and Donna Mae Waldie Cink and passed from this life Friday evening, Feb. 25, 2011, at his home in Medford.

He graduated from Medford High School in 1974 and attended Northern Oklahoma College, Tonkawa.

On Nov. 3, 1979, he and Melinda Kaye Hart were united in marriage.

He was a soil conservation technician for the United States Department of Agriculture for over 20 years. He was an excellent carpenter and welder.

Steve was a die-hard OU fan! He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Medford, Medford Alumni Association and Medford All Sports Club.

Steve was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Mae Waldie Cink; grandparents, James and Jennie Cink and John and Alta Waldie; nephew, James Patrick Flaherty; and father-in-law, the Rev. Edward Earl Hart.

He is survived by his wife, Melinda of the home; daughter, Shalon Nicole Cink Reynolds and husband David of Mounds; son, Shane Kelly Cink and companion Jordanne Shuck of Edmond; parents, Donald and Barbara Cink of Medford; sister, Kathy Flaherty and husband Tim of Medford; brother, Greg Cink of Medford; two grandchildren, Cade Cink and Benjamin Reynolds; and nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends.

Memorials may be made to Medford Alumni Association Scholarship Fund or Jefferson United Methodist Church PET project with Hills-Ely Funeral Home, P.O. Box 280, Medford, OK 73759 serving as custodian of the funds.
