New Home Cemetery


October 17, 1924 - September 29, 2018

Celestia Elizabeth (Humphreys) Williams funeral service is 2:00 p.m. today, October 4, 2018, at the Bethel-Hawley Baptist Church with Pastor Gary Lillie officiating. Interment follows in New Home Cemetery, Nash.

Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek.

Celestia Elizabeth Williams, née Humphreys, "Johnnie" was called home to join her Lord in Heaven Saturday, September 29, 2018.

She was born October 17, 1924, in Grant County, Oklahoma, the daughter of Teddy Riley and Veda Gertrude Claflin Humphreys.

Johnnie was a 7th grade math teacher at Thomas Alva Edison middle school in Tulsa for 33 years, after teaching in various communities in Northern Oklahoma.

She was married to Boyce Duane Williams on July 28, 1946. They had three children together, James L., Margie Michal, and Terrie Lea. Johnnie was a loving grandmother to Teddy Riley Williams and Tamara Susanne Mattison, née Williams, wife of Steven Andrew Mattison.

She has five great-grandchildren, Gavin and Stella Williams, Caitlyn Michelle, Kiera Lynn, and Cassie Elizabeth Mattison.

She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Michal, and great-grandchildren, Caitlyn and Cassie Mattison.

She is survived by her sister and her husband, Robert and LaVon Sharp, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several other family members.

Memorials may be made to Bethel-Hawley Baptist Church.
