GRANDMA HAWORTH DEAD
Maria M. Albert was born on August 27th, 1839, near Harrisburg, Penn. Moved with her father to Iowa in 1850. Was married to James G. Foreman in 1861. One son, James Ellsworth was born to this union. She was left a widow.
She was married to John Hayworth in 1874. Four children were born to them, as follows: Chalmer J. Haworth, Alta M. Surface, Fredric H. Haworth and Josephine M. Bonds. Fredric preceded her to the other world.
Mrs. Haworth came to Oklahoma in 1894. She was a faithful consistent Christian, having joined the Baptist Church in 1867 and was ever since an earnest worker in both church and Sunday school. She has been an invalid for three years but has born her suffering with patience and cheerfulness. Death came to her relief from earthly afflictions on Saturday, November 6, 1909, at the ripe age of 70 years, 2 months and 10 days. The funeral was held Monday afternoon at the Congregational church, Rev. O. W. Jones pastor of the Baptist church officiating. Interment in Pleasant view cemetery (the cemetery is listed as New Home in the Silent Cities of Grant County).
The services were attended by a large concourse of friends and family.
