ORLANDO -- Service for James E. Prince, 50, who die early Monday in an Oklahoma City hospital following an extended illness, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Freedom Baptist Church, The Rev. Bill Combrink will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mount Vernon Cemetery, northwest of Billings, under direction of Anderson Funeral Home, Garber.
Prince was born Aug. 18 1929, near Billings where he attended schools, graduating from the Billings High School in 1948. On June 20, 1948, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving four years. During that time he received the Korean Service Medal and the Japanese Occupation and Good Conduct Medal. Following his tour of duty, he worked 18 months with the Rock Island Railroad, and on Nov 23, 1953, re-enlisted in the service where he served until Nov. 30, 1969. He also served one year during the Vietnam War. The past five years he had worked for the Oklahoma Highway Department.
Survivors include his wife, Doris; two daughters, Debra and Donita, both of the home; two sons, David and Daniel, both of the home; three sisters, Mrs. Donald (Lola) McConnell and Mrs. Emil (Edith) Sebranek, both of Garber, and Mrs. Gene (Shirley) McConnell, Blackwell; and six brother, Herbert and Billy Joe, both of Blackwell, Warren and Chester (Bud), both of Garber, Jake, Mulhull, and Arthur, Lamont
