Lamont Cemetery


Funeral service for Herman Richard "Bud" Pahl is 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 16, 2018, at Lamont First Christian Church with Jeff McReynolds officiating. Burial follows in Lamont Cemetery, with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Medford. Viewing begins at 10:00 a.m. today, February 16, 2018, at the church. Herman Richard "Bud" Pahl passed from this life in Ponca City Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at the age of 88. Bud was born July 17, 1929, in Lamont to Otto Pahl and Ella Siekert Pahl. He grew up in the Lamont area and graduated high school in 1947. Bud and Donna Misak were married October 24, 1953, in Medford. To this union a daughter, Ella and a son, Curtis were born. Bud farmed and ran a dairy. He retired in 1992. Bud was an avid football and basketball fan. He volunteered and was a part of the "chain gang" for 40 years. Bud was a veteran and served with the 45th Infantry in Korea. He was also a member of Lamont American Legion and a long-time member of the Lamont First Christian Church.

Bud is survived by one sister, Joella Blevins; son-in-law, Dennis Martin; grandson, Michael; nieces and nephews and their families.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Ella Pahl; his wife, Donna; daughter, Ella; son, Curtis; five sisters, Etta Pahl, Emmaline Pahl, Elsie Brigham, Ethel Nelson, Dorothy Dixon; one brother, Otto Pahl, Jr.

Memorials may be made to the Lamont First Christian Church, through the funeral home.
