Lamont Cemetery


The funeral service of Robert P. Davis, age 59, will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at the Deer Creek-Lamont School Gymnasium, Lamont, Oklahoma with the Rev. Jeff McReynolds officiating. Interment will follow in Lamont Cemetery. Arrangements made by Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek.

Robert was born to Robert Herald and Wanda Jaunice Russell Davis in Tulsa, Oklahoma on August 24, 1951.

Robert attended school in Sand Springs, graduating in 1969. He went to North Eastern Oklahoma University in Miami. He received a Bachelors Degree in Business Education at OSU. He began teaching at Deer Creek-Lamont Schools in the 1974-75 school year. He taught business, typing, computers, accounting and was assistant football coach and basketball statistician. Robert was also in charge of the Student Council and yearbook. He also worked at the Lamont Co-op in the summertime for years.

Robert married Ann on August 8, 2008 in Enid, Oklahoma.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Robert is survived by his wife, Ann Davis, Enid; son Chris Davis, Cache, Oklahoma; daughter Shannon Davis, Enid; three brothers, Mike Davis, Dallas, Texas; Tim Davis and wife Gloria, Berniece, Oklahoma; Curtis Davis and wife Julie, Stillwater; five grandchildren, Jordan Davis, Morgan Davis, Ryleigh Glenn, Jaden Davis and Justin Davis; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorials may be made to the Robert P. Davis Scholarship Fund.
