Hawley Cemetery


November 23, 1916 - October 28, 1985

Nash – Donald L. Goble, 68, died Monday, October 28, 1985 at an Enid hospital. Services will be 2 PM Wednesday at Bethel – Hawley Baptist Church, north of Nash. The Revs Gary Lillie and Lester Hastings will officiate. Burial will be at Hawley Cemetery under direction of Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek.

Goble was born November 23, 1916, near Nash and grew up in Hawley. He and Beth Cox were married December 19, 1934. They lived in the Hawley area until 1978 when they moved to Nash.

After retiring from farming, Goble was manager of the fertilizer plant in Nash from 1975 to 1981. He also was a member of the Bethel Hawley Baptist Church and the Nash Senior Citizens Center.

Survivors include his wife, Beth, a son, Leon, Hobbs, New Mexico; a daughter, Mrs. Jim (Doris) Shrewsbury, Nash; a step – sister, Mrs. Calvin (Ovella) Haley Sr., Enid; and five grandchildren.

Memorials in his name may be made to Bethel – Hawley Sanctuary Fund, Nash Fire Department and or Nash Senior Citizens Center.
