SERVICES HELD MON. FOR CHAS. NOVY

Funeral services for Charles Novy were held Monday afternoon, Sept. 5 at the First Baptist Church with the pastor Rev. Jim Robertson officiating.

Casket bearers were: Art McVey, Harry Dodson, Lee Fowler, Chick Griffith, Donald Brown and Paul DeBoard.

Music was furnished by Mrs. Dale Henricks, Mrs. Jim Robertson, Mrs. Donald Lair and Mrs. C. E. Warburton who sang Beautiful Garden of Prayer, Beyond the Sunset, and Rock of Ages.: Accompanied by Mrs. Donald Brown.

Mr. Novy was born January 20, 1873 in Springfield, Mo. and passed away at his home in Verden Saturday Sept. 3 at the age of 87 yrs. Mr. Novy moved to Verden in 1915 where he had lived until the time of his death.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Tillie Novy and one son, William Novy of Verden, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Interment was in Verden Cemetery with Hansens Funeral Home in charge.
