Claud Wesley Ellis
January 23, 1924 ~ May 22, 2013


Private memorial services were held for Claud Wesley Ellis, 89, of Ajo, Arizona.

Claud Wesley Ellis was born in Lindsay, Oklahoma, on January 23, 1924, the son of William Opha and Mary Caroline Wood Ellis. He passed Wednesday, May 22, 2013, in Ajo, Arizona.

Claude married his late wife Evelyn Fudge Ellis, and to this union they received two children.

After Evelyn's death Claud married his current wife Wilma Morrow Ellis on June 9, 1995. They enjoyed many years together as husband and wife.

Claud lived in Oklahoma and Arizona his whole life. He worked many jobs, but his true passion was preaching. It gave him great joy to speak the word of God to everyone. He had also done many mission trips.

He was preceded in death by: both parents, three brothers; James, Bill and Robert Ellis, three sisters; Violet Brown Betty Jo Ellis and Hellen Smith.

Survivors include: wife; Wilma Ellis, of the home, brother; Fred Eillis and wife Sue of Waco, Texas daughter, Wilma Dudley & husband Kenneth, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, daughter; Claudette Robinson & husband Timothy of Medina, Tennessee seven grandchildren; William Johnston & wife Christa, Jorge Johnston & wife Mellissa of Chickasha, Oklahoma Zack Dudley & wife Katie of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Brittney Tringle & husband Allen of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Wesley Dudley & wife Taylor of Lindsey, Oklahoma Danyah Williams & husband Chad of Chickasha, Oklahoma Shenia Burrows & husband Alex of Chickasha, Oklahoma, ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Arrangements under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.

Funeral service for William Edward "Bill" Ellis, age 75, of Verden, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 16, 2005, in the Northside Church of Christ.

William Edward "Bill" Ellis was born the son of William Otha Ellis and Mary Caroline Wood Ellis on July 9, 1930, in Van Buren, Arkansas. He died on September 13, 2005, in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Interment will be in the Verden Cemetery in Verden.

Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.
