Elton Delos Teel

Elton Delos Teel, 87, of Rush Springs, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2006 in Oklahoma City.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 16, 2006, at the Church of the Christ in Rush Springs, with Clif Werhan and Mickey Wuilburn officiating.

Burial will be in the Rush Springs Cemetery, under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs, Oklahoma.

Elton was born Monday, June 10, 1918 in McMann, Oklahoma, to the late Earnest D. Teel and the late Birttie Stelding.

Dearl Wayne Teel
July 15, 1965 ~ February 19, 2010


Dearl Wayne Teel, 44, passed away Friday, February 19, 2010 in Chickasha.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, February 23, 2010, at the Southern Baptist Church in Rush Springs, with Dr. Joe Ligon officiating. Burial will be in the Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs.

Dearl Wayne was born Thursday, July 15, 1965 in Chickasha, to Dearl Ray Teel and Carolyn Sue [Spencer] Teel. Dearl Wayne grew up in the Ninnekah and Rush Springs area. He graduated from Rush Springs High School in 1983. He worked in the oil field as a roughneck for several years.

Dearl Wayne was an avid fisherman. He also enjoyed hunting and doing carpentry work.

Dearl Wayne was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed spending as much time with his daughter as he could. Dearl Wayne loved attending family cook-outs. He found great joy in aggravating his nieces and nephews. He was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Dearl Wayne was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include son, Robert Chance St. John; daughter, Sarah Nicole Teel of Marlow, and her mother Jessica Teel; father, Dearl Ray Teel of Ninnekah; mother, Carolyn Sue Teel of Rush Springs; 2 brothers, Donny Cosby and wife Sherry of Ninnekah, Kenneth Teel and wife Cheryl of Rush Springs; sister, Carol McGanty of Marlow; aunts and uncles, Colene Langan of Billingham, WA, Jessy Spencer of Douglas, KS, Annabell of Winfield, KS, Mary Spiegal of Moore, L.E. Teel of Cement, Luther Teel of Collinsville; nieces, Shanea McGanty, Madylin Teel, May'ce Brown; nephews, Kyle McGanty, Jacob Teel; step-grandchildren, Payton Stehr, Ty Ball; Girlfriend, Debbie Ball,Dearl Wayne was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Lynn Cosby, grandmother, Mary Jane Teel, brother-in-law, Shannon Russell McGanty, several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Mark Long, Brian Coffee, Danny Stovall, Jerry Williams, Gerald Caveny, Allen Morgan.Honorary pallbearers will be Darrell Deal, Donny Morgan, Donny Nunn.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Hospital of Oklahoma.
