Funeral services for Herbert "Herb" Williams, 84, of Chickasha, Okla., are pending with Ferguson Funeral Home.

Herbert "Herb" Williams was born Jan. 23, 1920, and died on Tuesday, April 6, 2004.

Herbert "Herb" Williams

Funeral services for Herbert "Herb" Williams, 84, of Chickasha, Okla., will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 10, 2004, in the Epworth United Methodist Church. Kim Dominick will officiate.

Herbert "Herb" Williams was born Jan. 23, 1920, in Sentinel, Okla., and died on Tuesday, April 6, 2004, in Las Vegas, Nev. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemtery, Chickasha, under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.

Herbert "Herb" Williams

Funeral services for Herbert "Herb" Williams, 84, of Chickasha, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 10, 2004, in the Epworth United Methodist Church. Don Horton will officiate.

Herb Williams was born January 23, 1920, in Sentinel, Oklahoma, the son of Joe and Lou (Gifford) Williams. He died April 6, 2004, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Her married Evelyn Bailey in 1940, and they shared 64 wonderful years together. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the 320th Infantry, 35th Division. After the war, he moved to Chickasha, Oklahoma, and purchased the Apco Service Station, where he had many loyal customers and made many lifelong friends. He retired in 1970 at the age of 50 to manage his rental property.

Herb was a 32nd degree Mason in the Masonic Lodge in Chickasha. Herb and Evelyn were founding members of the Wedding Ring Class at Epworth United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his loving wife, Evelyn, of the home; two daughters: Sheron Curutchet, of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Donna Williams, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three grandchildren: Connie Schellerup, Cindy Hambrecht, and Steven Garvin; seven great grandchildren: Clayton and Carter Schellerup, Skylar, Sabrina, and Kyle Garvin, and Max and Grace Hambrecht; one sister, Fannie Jensen; and one brother, Paul Williams.

Visitation will be in the Ferguson Funeral Home all day Friday, April 9, 2004, from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
