Kathryn Irene Sliger was born August 14, 1940, in Rawlins, Wyoming. She died Tuesday, December 27, 2005, at her home in Chickasha.

Funeral Mass for Kathryn Irene Sliger, 65, of Chickasha will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2006, in the Holy Name Catholic Church with Brother Ramirez officiating.

Katheryn Irene Sliger was born August 14, 1940, in Rawlings, Wyoming. She died Tuesday December 27, 2005, at her home in Chickasha.

Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.

Funeral Mass for Kathrun Irene Sliger, 65, of Chickasha will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2006, in the Holy Name Catholic Church w

ith Brother Ramirez officiating.

Kathryn Irene Sliger was born August 14, 1940, in Rawlins, Wyoming, the daughter of Ivan Haggerty and Elizabeth [Birmingham] Haggerty.

She died Tuesday December 27, 2005, at her home in Chickasha. Kathryn grew up and attended schools in Rawlins, Wyoming. She graduated from Rawlins High School in 1958. After graduation she went to work for Safeway in Rawlins for many years, later transferring to Denver, Colorado, where she met the love of her life, James Sliger.

Kathryn and James were married on June 24,1971, in Denver, Colorado.

They made their home in Denver for many years, before moving to Chickasha in 1985. They were married for 34 years. Kathryn loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She always looked at the positive, and she never let her illness get her down. She kept a happy heart and encouraged her family to be happy as well.

Kathryn was preceded in death by both parents.

She is survived by her husband, James O. Sliger, of the home; two daughters: Beverly Denham, of Chickasha and Sandra and Marvin Rodriguez, of Westminister, Colorado; son, James I. Sliger, of Chickasha; five grandchildren: Amanda Juarez and husband Moises and Dean Rodriguez, of Westminister, Colorado, Michaela Sliger, Travis Denham, and Branden Denham, all of Chickasha; one great grandchild, Matthew Juarez; brother and sister-in-law: Mike and Jean Haggerty; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Patricia and Jim Walcott and Sheila and John Wike; many nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
