FARMER AT MARLOW IS SHOT AND KILLED

Marlow, OK., Sept. 5 (AP) - Elbert Robinson, farmer near here, was shot to death late today and Police Chief John Kent arrested Jim Gibson, another farmer of the same community.

Chief Kent said the shooting occured on a road near here when Robinson, his wife and a man whose name was not learned, all in an automobile, approached Gibson, who was on horseback.

Kent said the occupants of the care told him they tried to get Gibson to give them room enough to pass and Gibson ordered Robinson to get out of the car. Kent quoted them as saying Robinson stepped out and Gibson shot him through the heart with a shotgun.

Gibson, still on horseback, was arrested about a mile from the scene of the shooting. Kent said the man had no gun at the time of the arrest.
