Harold C. Lynn

Funeral service for Harold C. Lynn, 56, 7617 South Hillcrest Drive, Oklahoma City, will be at 10 am Thursday in the Capitol Hill Assembly of God Church, SW 74 and South Hillcrest Drive, Oklahoma City. Interment will be at 12 Thursday in Rose Hill Cemetery, Chickasha.

Mr. Lynn was born Jan. 4, 1922, in Anadarko. He died Tuesday in Veterans Memorial Hospital, Oklahoma City.

Coming to Chickasha with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil B. Lynn, from Duncan in August, 1931 Mr. Lynn attended attended Chickasha Public Schools and was a member of the local National Guard unit, Battery B, 189th Field Artillery, 1 Bn., 45 Infantry Division, during World War II. He served with honor and earned the Army Good Conduct medal, National Defense, American Theater of Operations, and Victory medals. He was medically discharged as staff sergeant at U. S. Army General Hospital, Camp Edwards, Mass., on April 20, 1945.

Mr. Lynn, a member of Capitol Hill Assembly of God Church, Oklahoma City, and was recently employed by the Times Journal Publishing Company in Oklahoma City. He was a long time member of the Graphic Arts International Union and the American Legion.

Mr. Lynn is survived by his wife, Ruth, of the home; two sons, Capt. Edmund Lynn of Hampton, Va., and Fred Lynn of of Denver, Colo.; one daughter, Shannon, of the home; two grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Ora B. Lynn, 223 Iowa Avenue, Chickasha; two brothers, Melvin B. Lynn of Chickasha, and John Lynn of Tulsa; two sisters ??????? Tankersley of Blairstown, N. J., and Mrs. Mellie Jane Tackett of Chickasha.
