Joan Yvette [Armour] Lutzenberger Watson

CHICKASHA - Joan Watson, age 88 of Chickasha died at 5:20 a.m. on December 4, 2010 in Oklahoma City after a long illness. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the McRay Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Rockford Johnson will officiate.

She was born Joan Yvette Armour in Enid, Oklahoma on April 25, 1922 and was raised in the Garber oilfields as her family followed her father's work. After graduating from high school she trained to become a nurse. She married Bert Jerome Lutzenberger in 1941 and lived various places following his work on the railroad. Following her first husband's death, she married Vernon Watson in 1988 and they made their home in Chickasha. She loved ceramics, square dancing, bridge, golf and art. She also loved to travel in their motor home. She was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents Albert E. Armour and Gwenola Florine Wilson Armour, her first husband Bert Jerome Lutzenberger, three sisters, and two brothers.

Survivors include: Husband: Vernon C. Watson of Chickasha, Sister: Edith Gray of Ninnekah, Sons: Mike Lutzenberger and his wife Patricia of Liberty Lake, Washington and Jerome Lutzenberger and his wife Janell of Oklahoma City; daughter-in-law Margie Rosbach and her husband Dale of Seattle, Washington, and Grandchildren: Scott Lutzenberger of Bullhead City, Arizona; Tiffany Lutzenberger of Oklahoma City; Jeffrey Lutzenberger and his wife Chris of Bozeman, Montana; Jeremy Lutzenberger and his wife Kristi of Las Vegas, Nevada; Julia Lutzenberger McNally and her husband Steve of Seattle, Washington; Shanna LaMar and her husband Brent of Seattle, Washington; and Tricia Murphy Madden and her husband Shawn of Seattle, Washington, Great Grandchildren: Davie, Faith, and John Steinbacher of Bozeman, Montana; Jenna and Nikki Lutzenberger of Bullhead City, Arizona; Banning Lutzenberger of Oklahoma City, Benson McNally of Seattle, Washington; and Tabitha Madden of Seattle, Washington, and Numerous nieces and nephews.

Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Services are under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Epworth United Methodist Church memorial fund.

Joan Watson, 88, of Chickasha died at 5:20 a.m. on Dec. 4, 2010 in Oklahoma City after a long illness. She was born Joan Yvette Armour in Enid, Okla. on April 25, 1922.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010, at the McRay Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Rockford Johnson will officiate.

Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Services are under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.
