Albert Franklin Lawson

Graveside service for Albert Franklin Lawson, age 93, of Chickasha will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 31, 2005, in the Rose Hill Cemetery.

Albert Franklin Lawson was born on April 17, 1912. He died on August 28, 2005.

Services are under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.

Albert Franklin Lawson

Graveside service for Albert Franklin Lawson, age 93, of Chickasha will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 31, 2005, in the Rose Hill Cemetery.

Rev. Larry Hatfield will officiate.

Albert Franklin Lawson was born the son of Thomas Leonard Lawson and Katie Mae (Fletcher) Lawson on April 17, 1912, in Cement, Oklahoma. He died on August 28, 2005, in Oklahoma City.

Albert grew up on a farm southeast of Chickasha. After graduating from high school, he entered the U.S. Army and served during World War II. After the war, Albert moved to California where he raised cattle and farmed rice. He moved back to Chickasha in 1950, and married Mary Opal Richardson Burton on December 13, 1952. Albert worked many years for Chickasha Manufacturing and raised cattle on the side. After retiring, he continued to raise cattle and farm.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one step-son.

Survivors include wife Mary Opal Lawson of Chickasha; Step-son and wife: Jeffery and Barnia Burton of Ninnekah; Sister: Juanita Wilson of Wendell, Idaho; Sister: Virginia Metzler of El Reno, OK; Brother: Gene Lawson of Wendell, Idaho; Brother: Murl Lawson of Inola, OK; Granddaughter: Tammy Conder of Chickasha; Granddaughter: Terrie Bogard of Cocoa Beach, Florida; Granddaughter: Vikki Burton of Ninnekah; Several nieces and nephews.

Services are under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.
