Carl "Wayne" Latta

Funeral Services for Carl Wayne Latta, 40, of Chickasha, were held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 19, 2006, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Raymond McPherson officiating.

Wayne's journey began in Poteau, Oklahoma on August 9th, 1965. His family moved to Quinton, Oklahoma where Wayne attended school.

In the mountains of southeastern Oklahoma is where Wayne learned to fish and hunt. These are traits he passed to his son Tony.

As a teenager Wayne's family moved to Lexington, Oklahoma where Wayne met his wife, Charlotte. They were married in 1984. Of this union they had a son, Tony, and a daughter, Mandy. They chose to make their home in Chickasha, Oklahoma where Wayne worked in the oilfield for eighteen years.

Wayne had many hobbies including a love for music that he passed to his daughter, Mandy. If Wayne wasn't cooking on the grill for his family he had them all gathered around the TV watching OU football. Most of all Wayne enjoyed his friends, family and making people laugh. Wayne led his family to be baptized together at Bible Baptist Church on September 13, 2000.

Wayne left this life to be with the Lord on June 16, 2006.

He is survived by many loving friends and family.

Interment was in the Rose Hill Cemetery undfer the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
