Alzina W. [Wood] Kendall~Cooper

Funeral Services at Local Chapel

Funeral services for Mrs. Alvina [sic] Cooper, age 83, were conducted from the chapel of the Chickasha Funeral Home Monday morning at 10:30 o'clock followed by internment in the Rose Hill Cemetery here.

The service was conducted by Rev. George Davis, pastor of the First Christian Church with vocal numbers sung by Mrs. Harry Goen accompanied by Mrs. A. C. Streeter.

Mrs. Cooper, a native of Indiana and a pioneer here, died at her home, 1526 South Eighth street (sic), Sunday morning.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. W. J. Rickert [Margaret or Rita], Aurora, Ill., Mrs. J. G. Mayes [Josephine or Josie] and Mrs. M. C. Perkins [Mable], Chickasha, and a son, M. T. (sic) Kendall [Martin Luther], Shawnee.


NOTES:

Alzina Wood married:

Dr. Josiah Kuykendall, who legally changed the family's name to Kendall in 1870 while living in Labette Co., KS.

(unk) Cooper after Josiah's death in 1909. It is believed she divorced him several years later. She is buried next to Dr. Kendall.
