Twila Marie [Hackney] Johnson

Funeral serices for Mrs. Twila Marie Johnson, 1820 Idaho, were held at 10:30 am. Monday, June 11, in the Chapel of the Sevier Funeral Home with Reverend Joe Blair, pastor of the Freewill Baptist Church, officiating.

Mrs Johnson was born Feb. 12, 1912, at Hugo, Kansas. She had been a resident of Chickasha for the past 53 years moving from Kansas City, Kansas. She was employed at Oklahoma College Liberal Arts as a cook for ten years, retiring in 1966 following a stroke.

She married Earl H. Johnson on September 28, 1928, in Chickasha. She was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church in Chickasha.

Survivors include her husband, Earl H. Johnson of the home, three sons, Bill E. Johnson of Marysville, California, Lonnie of Chickasha and Kenneth of Dallas, Texas, two daughters, Mrs. Judy Martha Johnson of Mt. View, California and Mrs Ruth Price of Roscoe, South Dakota; two brothers, James Hackney of Yuba City, California, Charles "Carl" Hackney of Noble, Oklahoma, three sisters, Mrs. Opal Jennings of Chickasha, Mrs. Beffine Melton of Oklahoma City and Mrs. Bessie Alexander of Waldron, Arkansas and nine grandchildren.

Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Sevier Funeral Home.
