Andrew B. Howard

Andrew B. Howard, 76, of 2027 South Sixth, died at 8:30 p.m. Monday at his home after a sudden heart attack.

Howard was born May 13, 1885 near Little Rock, Ark., and moved to Oklahoma in 1904. A resident of Grady county since 1928, he had been a farmer-stockman in Friend and Amber until his retirement in 1947, when he moved to Chickasha.

He married Millie Crowley in November 1909.

Howard is survived by his wife, one son, Albert Howard, Amber; three daughters, Mrs. Ruby Jones, Blair; Mrs. Hazel Naylor, Blanchard and Mrs. Lucille Wenzel, Downey, Calif. Two brothers, Will Howard, Chickasha and Joe Howard, Atoka; one sister, Mrs. Ethel Flowers, Vinita, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Sevier's Funeral Home, Rev. L. D. Wilkes will officiate. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Albert Austin Howard

Graveside funeral for Albert Austin Howard, 77, Chickasha, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, 1987 in Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. Edward Bowls officiating.

He was born August 22, 1910 in Caddo and died Thursday, Oct. 1, 1987 at his home in Chickasha.

Albert moved from Caddo to Chickasha in 1925 and lived here the rest of his life.

He married Ruby Welborn on March 1, 1982 in Chickasha.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bertha Howard on Aug. 29, 1972; by one infant son and by both of his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Howard of the home; three stepdaughters, Nadine Lemon of Coy, Jewel Welch of Chickasha, Mary Johnson of Chickasha; one stepson, James Botts of Sterling; three sisters, Ruby Jones of Blair, Hazel Naylor of Purcell, Lucille Wenzel of Chickasha; 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Bertha Mae [Ogle] Howard

Funeral service for Mrs. Bertha Mae Howard, 54, Amber, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Sevier Funeral Home.

Mrs. Howard was born Sep 27, 1917 in Grady County. She had lived in Grady County all of her life residing in the Amber area.

She died Tuesday in Grady Memorial Hospital. She had been in failing health for the past two years.

Survivors include her husband, Albert A. Howard of the home; her mother, Mrs. Jessie Ogle of Chickasha; six brothers, Raymond Ogle of Amber, Edward Ogle of Elgin, H. Eugene Ogle, Leonard Ogle, and Willie Ogle all of Oklahoma City and Oscar H. Ogle of Farmer City, Ill.

Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

William J. Howard

Funeral services for William J. Howard, 75, of Lawton, will be held at 1:30 p.m. in the First Christian Church with Rev. Wayne Ashlock, pastor officiating.

William J. Howard was born December 6, 1920 in Seiling and died Monday, May 27, 1996 at his home.

He married Christine Aday on February 6, 1943 in San Angelo, Texas. She preceded him in death on May 24, 1977. He then married Virginia L. Ward on September 8, 1979 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Mr. Howard served in the Army Air Corp and was a veteran of World War II. He was a retired assistant area manager for Public Service Company of Oklahoma and was a member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia L. Howard of the home; son, Bill Howard of Tulsa; three step-sons, Bruce Ward of Chester, Ronnie Ward of Newcastle and Tom Ward of Edmond; one step-daughter, Pam Waugh of Palm Harbor, Florida; one brother, Charles Howard of Berryville, Arkansas; two sisters, Mary Lou Danhoff, McMinnville, Tennessee and Ila Mae Hargrove of Midwest City; and nine grandchildren.

Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery of Chickasha under the direction of Becker Funeral Home of Lawton.

Christine Novis [Aday] Howard

Funeral service for Mrs. Christine N. Howard, 57, 220 Southeast Surry Place, Lawton, formerly of Chickasha, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church Memorial Chapel with Dr. Forrest Siler, pastor, officiating.

Mrs. Howard was born May 24, 1920 in Hobart. She died Wednesday in Comanche Memorial Hospital in Lawton.

She and William J. Howard were married on Feb. 6, 1943 in San Angelo, Tex.

Survivors include her husband, William of the home in Lawton; one son, William R. Howard of Tulsa; four sisters, Mrs. Esta Wilson, Dallas, Tex., Mrs. Naomi Gossom of Tulsa, Mrs. Georgianna Webster of Paoli; her mother, Mrs. Jessie Aday of Clinton and one granddaughter.

Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Chickasha under direction of Becker Funeral Home, Lawton.

Kenneth Charles Holder

Graveside funeral services will be held for Kenneth Charles Holder, 89, of Chickasha at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2013, in the Rose Hill Cemetery with Sister Alice Wendling Officiating.

Kenneth Charles Holder was born on June 5, 1923, in Mineola, Long Island, New York, to Charles Hebrew Holder and Marie Louise Hinz Holder. He died on Friday, March 15, 2013, in Oklahoma City.

Kenneth came to Oklahoma as a child. His family then lived in California for some time before returning to Oklahoma to the Alex-Chitwood area. He married the love of his life and companion for more than sixty-eight years, Clara Howard, in Billings, Montana, on May 11, 1944.

Kenneth lived a full life and wore a lot of hats in his working years. He went to work for Halliburton at 18, during World War II he was employed with the shipyards and a metal & steel company before coming to work at Borden General Hospital in Chickasha. Later Kenneth worked in the test fields in Nevada and after the war he went to work in the oilfield in various locations until retiring in Las Vegas, Nevada, December of 1987 as a Rig Superintendent.

After retirement he and Clara returned to Chickasha where they have enjoyed their retirement near their family. He was a 32nd Degree Mason.

He was preceded in death by both parents.

Survivors include: one daughter, Janette Marie Hansink; four grandchildren, Keith Charles VanCamp, Hope Marie Stewart & husband Darrell, Mark Holder Hansink & wife Lisa, and Faith Michelle Hansink; and eight grand-children, Ashley Jane and Eric Michael VanCamp; Katalina Marie, Thad Wayne, and Chase Dillan Stewart; Seth Michael Holder, Mikayla Paige Hansink and Charitee Rae Hansink.

Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.

Clara [Howard] Holder

Clara [Howard] Holder was born October 8, 1921 in Malta, Texas to Verdie Madison Howard and Susie Jane [Adams] Howard. She died on Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at her home in Chickasha.

Clara grew up and attended the public schools in Malta, Texas. She moved to Lovell, Wyoming in 1939 and later she moved to California.

As a young woman, she was employed by Chrysler, and during WWII she worked on B-17's as a member of the Rosie The Riveters.

She married the love of her life and companion for more than sixty-eight years, Kenneth Charles Holder, in Billings, Montana on May 11, 1944. Clara went with Kenneth, who was employed in the oilfield in Oklahoma, Michigan, Texas, Kentucky, and Illinois.

Clara was a foster parent to many and made a difference in their lives. She was an ordained Full Gospel Minister and she enjoyed preaching and teaching others about Christ.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Kenneth Holder, three brothers, and eight sisters.

Survivors include her daughter, Janette Marie Hansink; four grandchildren, Keith Charles VanCamp, Hope Marie Stewart and husband, Darrell, Mark Holder Hansink, and Faith Michelle Hansink; eight great-grandchildren, Ashley Jane VanCamp, Eric Michael VanCamp, Katalina Marie Stewart, Thad Wayne Stewart, Chase Dillan Stewart, Seth Michael Hansink, Mikayla Paige Hansink, and Charitee Rae Hansink.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 24, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Luke's Episcopal Church with Father Justin Fletcher and Mark Holder Hansink officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.

Johnathan Mark "John" Howard

Graveside service for John Howard, 29, of Avery, Texas will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 22, 2007 at the Rose Hill Cemetery, Chickasha.

John Howard was born August 22, 1978 in Chickasha, Oklahoma the son of Robert William and Virginia Anne Beauchamp Howard and died September 18, 2007 from the results of an automobile accident near Avery, Texas.

John worked for LSI Red River Army Depot. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

He and Brittany were married July 8, 2005 in Rockwall, Texas.

John was preceded in death by: Grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. John Beauchamp.

Survivors include: His wife: Brittney Howard of Avery, TX; one son: Payton Howard of Avery, TX; one daughter: Angelique Marie Howard of Chickasha; Parents: Bob and Anne Howard of Seymore, MO; two sisters: Angelique Howard of Rogersville, MO; Amber Howard Smith of Gravois Mills, MO; one brother: Derek Howard of Gravois Mills, MO; Mother-in-law: Caren Holder of Avery, TX Father-in-law: Billy Ralph Holder of Avery, TX.

Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery, local arrangements under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
