Prince James "Jim" Hart

Graveside services for Prince James "Jim" Hart, 78, of Chickasha, will be held Tuesday, August 12, 2003, at 10:30 a.m. at the Rose Hill Cemetery, with Elmer Kilgore officiating. Immediately following the services, family and friends are invited to gather at the Best Western Inn in Chickasha.

Prince James Hart was born October 16, 1924, in Chickasha, the son of Prince Hamilton Hart and Leam Looney Hart. He passed away Saturday, August 9, 2003, at his daughter's home in Moore, Oklahoma.

After attending Chickasha Public Schools, Jim married Ella Mae Williams on September 4, 1943, and they made their home in Agawam, Oklahoma.

Jim owned and operated numerous businesses throughout this lifetime that included a drilling company in West Texas and California, a machine shop and manufacturer of horse trailers in Chickasha, and a nationwide trucking company in Wisconsin.

He enjoyed working in his shop, fishing, his dogs, and visiting with family a nd friends.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Looney, Ray, and Jean Hart, and one sister, Mildred Hart Rasey.

Survivors include his wife, Ella Hart, of the home; four daughters, Terry Scaffetta and Gerry Monday of Moore, Mary Williams of Pocasset, and Micki Hart-Grant of Olive Branch, Mississippi; one son, Troy Hart of West Bend, Wisconsin; twelve grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.

"The two most precious gifts you can give your children are roots and wings." Mommie gives us wings. Thank you Daddy. We love you.

Graveside services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
