William "Bill" Harmon

Graveside services for William "Bill" Harmon, 83, of Chickasha, Okla., will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 17, 2003, at Rose Hill Cemetery.

William "Bill" Harmon was born Dec. 1, 1919, at Filer, Idaho, and died on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003, in Chickasha.

Services are under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

William "Bill" Harmon

Graveside service for William "Bill" Harmon, 83, of Chickasha, will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 17, 2003, at Rose Hill Cemetery, Chickasha, Oklahoma.

William "Bill" Harmon was born December 1, 1919, at Filer, Idaho. He was the son of Earl and Melissa [Walters] Harmon. He died Thursday, November 13, 2003, in Chickasha.

He married Daisy Louise Smith August 20, 1942, in Chickasha.

Mr. Harmon lived in Grady County most of his life. He was a farmer, dairyman, and had worked at the H. E. Bailey Turnpike for 18 years.

He was in the U. S. Army from November 1942 through November 1945. He served in North Africa, Sicily and Italy.

He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather, always ready to help anyone. His family were each very special to him. He will be missed very much.

He was preceded in death by a son, Rodney Dale, in 1958, his parents and stepdad, Frank Porter, a brother, Matt Harmon, of California, and three stepbrothers Denver, Austin and Houston Porter.

Survivors include: his wife, Louise Harmon, of the home in Chickasha; four sons: Stanley Harmon and his wife Gaye, of Oklahoma City, David Harmon of Chickasha, Larry Harmon and his wife Ramona, of Chickasha, Mike Harmon and his wife Robbin, of Chickasha; seven grandchildren and their spouses: Michael and Melissa Harmon, Carrie and Mike Stidham, Lezlie and Jeff Haynes, Tammi and Jason Scott, Bradlee Harmon, Stacee Harmon, Krystel Harmon and Chance Sneed; seven great grandchildren: Isaac and Olivia Haynes, Cameron and Curtis Scott, Kaleb Stidham, Kylie and Kaden Harmon; four sisters: Claudine and I. V. Reed of Oklahoma City, Frankie and F. L. Clark of Wagoner, Oklahoma, Reva Nixon of Blanchard, Oklahoma, Reba Hudson of Oklahoma City; one brother, Charles and Betty Porter of Chickasha; a special friend, Pat Hannon; and a great number of nieces and nephews and friends.

Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Chickasha, Oklahoma, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
