© The Chickasha Daily Express Chickasha, Oklahoma 8 December 1939 Charles Ora Hackney Hackney Rites Set Saturday Funeral services for Ora Hackney, 55 are to be conducted at 3 pm Saturday afternoon at the Chapel of the Chickasha Funeral by Rev. Jack Hall, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mr. Hackney died about 4 o'clock this morning at his home 420 1/2 North Fifth Street. He was a native of Missouri. Prior to moving to Chickasha about eight years age, he was a farmer. Mr. Hackney had been in poor health for the past five years, but had been in a serious condition for only the past week. Surviving members of the family include his wife, Mrs. Cloreen Hackney: five daughters, Mrs. Marie Johnson of Chickasha, Mrs. Mary Ellen Grantham of Van Buren, Arkansas. and Miss Opal Josephine Hackney, and Miss Beffine Hackney all of Chickasha, Charles "Carl" of Greenbrier, Arkansas,; Chester of Elk City and James of Van Buren, Arkansas: five grandchildren; one brother, Carl of Bartlesville; one sister, Thelma; and stepmother, Mrs. Sallie Hackney. |
