Ira Franklyn "Frank" Elledge

Funeral service for Ira Franklyn "Frank" Elledge, age 70, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, September 25, 2008, in the Southern Oaks Church of Christ. Steve Parker will officiate.

Ira Franklyn Elledge was born the son of Ira Edgar Elledge and Mary Lucille Slusher Elledge on March 12, 1938, in Chickasha. He died on September 21, 2008, in Chickasha.

He married Donna Mac Wesner on February 12, 1962, in Cheyenne, Oklahoma. Frank graduated from Chickasha High School and was also a graduate of Oklahoma State University. After graduating from OSU, he entered the United States Navy and served in the Vietnam War as a Lieutenant in the Supply Corp. Frank served in the US Navy for ten years. He later received his masters degree from George Washington University.

In 1972, Frank returned to Chickasha and went into the family business, Chickasha Monument Company. Frank was an active member of the Southern Oaks Church of Christ. He was a member of the Rotary Club, where he had served as past president and was a Paul Harris Fellow; Masonic Lodge where he had served as master of the Chickasha Lodge No. 94; past chairman of the Grady County Republican Party and was currently State Committee Man; served on the Chickasha City Council; plus many other community organizations.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Glenda Pershina. Survivors include his wife, Donna M. Elledge of Chickasha; son, Ira Jonathan Elledge of Fort Worth, Texas; daughter, Mary Lucinda Elledge of Fort Worth, Texas; sister and husband, Mary and CR Anderson of Elk City; sister, Susan Thorne of Canute; sister, Becky Elledge of Clinton; and numerous other family and friends.

Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.

Rebecca Lea "Becky" Elledge

Rebecca Lea "Becky" Elledge was born October 27, 1948 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Lucille and Ira E. Elledge. She passed away April 27, 2015 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 66 years and 6 months.

Becky grew up in Chickasha where she was home-schooled. She lived in several different places finding the right atmosphere and caretakers for her medical condition, which included Clinton, Tulsa, Anadarko and Elk City. Becky experienced many different things in her life and enjoyed ceramics,… shopping, animals, The Blue Shoe Review, needle point and making gifts for her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Glenda Pershina and brother Franklynn Elledge.

She is survived by her 2 sisters, Mary Anderson and husband, Carrol, Elk City, OK, Susan Elledge Thorne, Canute, OK; 1 sister-in-law, Donna Elledge, Chickasha, OK; 2 brothers-in-law, Franklin Pershina, Cave Creek, AZ, Bob Thorne, Cordell, OK; nieces, Dr. Kristin Anderson and companion, Stacey Jones, Houston, TX, Amanda Lubbers and companion, Van Nabb, Yukon, OK, Lucinda Elledge, Ft. Worth, TX; nephews, Cary Anderson and wife, Kelli, Wilsoma, CA, Steven West and wife, Lisa, Columbus, OH, Greg West and wife, Pam, Phoenix, AZ, Doug Pershina, Cave Creek, AZ, Jonathan Elledge, Ft. Worth, TX; 1 great niece, Acasha Lubbers, 8 great nephews, Ryan West, Justin West, Nathan Lubbers and wife, Megan, Tyler Lubbers, Zach Anderson and wife, Jordan, Jake Anderson, Allen Pershina, Christian Pershina, 2 special friends, Jenell Edmond, Oklahoma City, OK, Shelia Parker, Oklahoma City, OK, and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family suggests memorial donations may be made to Westview Boys Home.
