Funeral services are pending for Edith M. Dobry, 78, of Chickasha with Ferguson Funeral Home.

Edith M. Dobry was born Sept. 8, 1926 and died Saturday, April 3, 2004 in Oklahoma City.

Edith Mae [Trotter] Dobry

Funeral services for Edith Mae Dobry, 77, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, April 5, 2004, at the First Presbyterian Church.

Reverend Barbara Hunt will officiate.

Edith was born the daughter of Leo and Ethel Trotter September 8, 1926, in Cyril, Oklahoma. She died on April 2, 2004, at Baptist Integris Hospital.

Edith has been a long-time resident of Chickasha. Worked for many years at Maremont Manufacturing and later worked at CJ's Hallmark with her daughter. She dedicated her life to being a homemaker, grandmother and great grandmother. She was active in the Foster Parent Program in Chickasha where her love for children made a difference to many.

Edith was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and active in the Woodmen of the World Society. Loving mother to her family and precious friend to many.

She was preceded in death by her husband Isaac D. Thomas, her parents and four brothers, Earl, Eugene, Clifford and Owen Trotter, great granddaughter Kaetlynne Bolin and one brother-in-law, Jimmie Tibbetts.

Survivors include her brother and wife James and Nellie Trotter of Gautier, Miss.; sister, Faye Tibbetts of Chickasha; sister and husband Mary and Ben Foreman of Vacaville, Calif.; brother and wife Bobby and Joyce Trotter of Longmont, Colo.; and brother and wife Sidney and Zelma Trotter of Midwest City, Okla.; and sister-in-law and life-long friend Hazel Trotter.

Her children, Glenda Fournier of Norman, Okla., Larry Thomas of Seattle, Wash.; Cynthia Teague of Chickasha, and Faye Dooty, also of Chickasha. Grandchildren include Brad Day, Sheila Bolin, Jason Lacure, Collin Teague, Danielle Dooty. Great grandchildren, Adrian Day, Kerry and Kyle Story, Cameron and Logan Lacure.

Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery following ceremony, under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.

She will be greatly missed!
