Samuel A. Dickey

Samuel was the son of John and Bonnie Dickey.

He graduated in 1947 from Central High School in Muskogee and attended Muskogee Junior College.

On November 27, 1946 he married Lila Hudgings.

He served in the U.S Navy for three years aboard the USS Lexington.

Samuel worked for S.H. Kress and Company for 26 years and for the Chickasha Police Department for 15 years, retiring in July of 1988 due to ill health.

He was a member of Masonic Lodge 94, Rotary Club, American Legion, Travelers Protection Association, Order of the Eastern Star, and College Heights Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by one son Philip in 1968, his father in 1949, his mother in 1973, and one brother Frank in 1978.<

Survivors included his wife, one son Louis Samuel and wife Jull Ann Dickey, one grandson Kyle Matthew Dickey, three sisters Lorraine Renteria, Ella Jean Scheffe, Helen Marie Dean, and one brother John Wesley Dickey.

Memorial contributions were made to the American Heart Association.

Funeral services were conducted in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home, with Rev. C.A. Spradlin, pastor of College Heights Baptist Church officiating.
