© The Chickasha Express-Star Tuesday, 24 July 2007 James Edward Darnell "Coach Jim Darnell" passed away July 21, 2007, after an extended illness. Jim was born on September 12, 1928, in Soper, Oklahoma, to M. D. and Evelyn Chapman Darnell. A memorial service will be held by Ford Funeral Service on Wednesday, July 25, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 222 N. W. 15th Street, Oklahoma City, OK, 73103 between Robinson and Harvey. Upon Coach Darnell's request, he will be cremated and his remains will be interred at Rose Hill Cemetery in Chickasha, Oklahoma, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 5400 N. Grand Blvd., Suite 255, Oklahoma City, OK, 73112. |
