James Alford Buchanan

Funeral Services for Buchanan Are Held on Tuesday.

Funeral services for James A. Buchanan, age 75, who succumbed at his home southwest of the city Monday night, were conducted from the home Tuesday afternoon by Mr. Whitfield and interment occurred in the Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Buchanan is survived by his wife, four sons, J. W. Buchanan of Alex, H. L. Buchanan of Chickasha, A. J. Buchanan of Mexia, Texas, and F. M. Buchanan of Huntsville, Ga., and a daughter, Mrs. Lou Duncan of Chickasha.

Mr. Buchanan was a native of Tennessee and had lived here for a number of years.

Rebecca Elizabeth Buchanan

Last rites for Mrs. Rebecca Elizabeth Buchanan, age 83, were conducted at 5 o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the Chickasha Funeral Home by Rev. H. P. Haley. Interment was in the Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Buchanan died about 4 o'clock Tuesday morning at the home of her son, two miles east and a half a mile south of Cement.

Surviving members of the family include a daughter, Mrs. W. B. Duncan of Duncan; and three sons, H. L. Buchanan of Cement, J. W. Buchanan of Comanche and A. J. Buchanan of Mexia, Texas.

Pallbearers for the services were: Wes Duncan, John W. Duncan, Tom Taylor, Roy Calder of Cement, B. A. Duncan, and Jack Murrell.
