John Henry Bowen

J. H. [John] Bowen, 70, died at 8:20 a.m. today at his home, Route 3, Chickasha.

A retired farmer-stockman, he was born June 10, 1894 in Pryor. He moved to Ninnekah in 1907 where he resided until 1958 at which time he moved to Route 1, Chickasha. In 1960 he moved to the Friend area. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Ninnekah.

Survivors include his wife Susie, of the home; seven sons, Leroy, Eunice, N. M., Virgle of Merced, Calif., Andy of Buena Park, Calif., Billy of Fort Stockton, Calif., Johnny of Chickasha, Berlen Wayne of Garden Grove, Calif., and Jimmy Ray of Eunice, N. M.; two daughters, Mrs. Ann King of Longview, Tex., Mrs. Tommy Joe Hurley, Garden Grove, Calif.; two brothers, Albert Bowen of Alex and Dick Bowen of Deming, N. M.; twenty one grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services under the direction of Sevier's Funeral Home.
