Jess Bryan Bennett Jr

Funeral service for Jess Bryan Bennett, Jr., 79, of Ninnekah, Oklahoma will be held at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, November 29, 2003, at the First Baptist Church of Ninnekah.

Jess Bryan Bennett, Jr., was born December 1, 1923, in Lucille Community, Oklahoma, the son of Jess Bryan Sr and Lenora [Underwood] Bennett, and died November 26, 2003, in Chickasha.

Mr. Bennett lived in Grady County all of his life. He graduated from Chickasha High School. He was a farmer and rancher in the Ninnekah area.

He and Mary Beth Phillips were married April 23, 1949.

Mr. Bennett was an Army Veteran of World War II, serving in Japan.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ninnekah.

Mr. Bennett was preceded in death by: Parents; one sister: Nadine Ouellette.

Survivors include: Wife: Mary Beth Bennett of the home; one son and daughter-in-law: Dave Robert and Linda Sue Bennett of Ninnekah; two grandchildren: Bryan Wayne Bennett of Oklahoma City and Shavouna Beth Farmerie and Garrett Farmerie.

Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Mary Beth [Phillips] Bennett

Funeral services for Mary Beth Bennett of Ninnekah, will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Ninnekah First Baptist Church. Mary Beth Bennett was born Jan. 4, 1928 to Elmer and Alma [Lewis)]Phillips in Chickasha. She passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2014 in Chickasha at the age of 86.

Mrs. Bennett graduated from Alex High School where she played basketball.

She married Jess Bryan Bennett, Jr. on April 23, 1949.

She attended the University of Oklahoma, where she babysat for OU's football coach, Bud Wilkerson.

She worked for Southwestern Bell for 21 years as a telephone operator until retiring in the late 70's.

She then focused her work for the next 30 years to the local and state Home Extension Clubs. She was a member of the Ninnekah Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jess Bryan Bennett, Jr. in 2003 and several brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Bennett is survived by her son, Dave Bennett and his wife, Linda; Grandchildren: Bryan Wayne Bennett and Shavouna Beth Farmerie and her husband, Chris; Great Grandchildren: Colin Farmerie and Garrett Farmerie.

Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Chickasha, OK under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
