Services for Leslie Howard Rowell, 70 of Minco were held on Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009 at the Hazel Dell Baptist Church, northwest of Minco.
Leslie Howard Rowell was born April 23, 1939 in Hermitage, Arkansas to Fred and Gordie [McDougald] Rowell.
He died Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at Parkview Hospital in El Reno.
Rowell was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Gravel Ridge, Arkansas. He came to Minco from Texas in 1973.
He married Brenda Carr March 6, 1959.
He was a retired truck driver who enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Gordie Rowell and a sister Penny Shepherd.
He is survived by his wife Brenda of the home in Minco, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Tracy Rowell of Dew, Texas and Lex and Neawa Rowell of Minco, two daughters and sons-in-law Tammy and Jay Sarett of Minco and Deana and Cleo Smith of Minco, nieces Melinda and Roy Blevins of Chickasha, Susie and Audie Ruthardt of Minco, 17 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Rev. Al Dorrough officiated, with burial in the Hazel Dell Cemetery under the direction of Huber~Reynolds Funeral Home in Minco.
