© Wilson-Little Funeral Home Purcell, Oklahoma May 4, 2015 Leila Vivian "Lee" [Beaty] Montgomery Marker July 5, 1925 - May 4, 2015 Leila "Lee" Montgomery Marker, age 89 of Noble, passed away Monday May 4, 2015, surrounded by her family at home. Leila Vivian Beaty was born July 5, 1925, in Alma, 1 of 11 children born to Neal Alonzo Beaty and Mary Elizabeth [Christopher] Beaty. She was raised in Pocasset and attended school in Pocasset and Ninnekah. Lee lived in the Chickasha area most of her life. She lived in Norman for time where her family farmed and raised cattle. While in Norman, Lee worked at Norman Regional Hospital in the X-Ray Department and also at Central State Hospital. She then lived in Eufaula for more than 13 years, before settling back in Chickasha. Lee then met the love of her life; Mr. Jesse Marker, and they were united in marriage on December 23, 1993. They settled in Noble in 1995, and have called it home since. Lee cherished time with her family. She was a wonderful wife and mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and a good friend. She loved the Lord and was a faithful member of the Pentecostal Church in Lexington. Lee loved to fish, and you would find her at her happiest with a pole in her hand. She will be dearly missed! She was preceded in death by: Her parents, Neal and Mary Beaty; 4 brothers, Frankie, Ed, V.R. and Dee Beaty and 5 sisters, Flora Beaty, Judy Scarborough, June Ryder Lavern Cassidy and Velma Munn. Lee leaves behind: Her loving husband, Jesse Marker, of the home; Son, Larry Montgomery and wife Leann of Norman; Daughters, Debbie Marker of Maple Valley, WA and Susan Wichers and husband Darrell of Vancouver, WA; Sister, Jimmie Landers of Lexington; 4 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren A host of other family and friends. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 8, 2015, at the First Baptist Church in Lexington. Burial will follow at the Pocasset Cemetery under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home of Purcell. |
