Emma Dean [Levescy] Garrett

Emma Dean Garrett age 76 of Oklahoma City, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at the St. Ann's Home in OKC.

Dean was born August 16, 1938 in Luther, OK. She was the youngest of six children born to Mose Levescy and Janie Misak.

Dean grew up in Luther and in the OKC area, graduating from John Marshall High School in 1956.

On April 19, 1957 she married the love of her life, a young man from Gracemont, OK by the name of Thomas Eugene Garrett. They were married in Norman and then made their first home in the Crown Heights Community of OKC.

Dean and Eugene raised one daughter, Carol. In 1962 they moved to Del City and in 1970 they moved to south OKC.

Dean worked many years as a secretary. She worked for various businesses in the OKC area and more than 10 years for B.S. & B.

Dean had several hobbies, but most of all was an avid bowler. She also enjoyed sewing, cooking and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by: Husband, Thomas Eugene Garrett on Oct. 27, 2004.

She is survived by: Daughter, Carol Perry and husband Chris of OKC; One granddaughter, Alexis Perry of OKC; Many nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.

Graveside funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, July 31, 2014 at the Pocasset Cemetery in Pocasset, OK. Arrangements are with Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Newcastle, OK.
