© The Tuttle Times Tuttle, Oklahoma Thursday, 3 December 2009 Services for Houston E. Garrett, 89 of Pocasset, were held on Monday, Nov. 39, 2009 a the First Baptist Church of Pocasset. Houston E. Garrett was born Aug. 15, 1920 in Oney, Okla. to Roy Stanley and Myrtle [Higgins] Garrett.. He died Friday, Nov. 27, 2009 at the Oklahoma Veterans Center of Clinton. Garrett lived in Binger for 20 years and served in the United States Army Air Corps during WWII. He returned to Oklahoma from Germany in 1946 and married Mary Lee Osborn on May 18, 1946 in Chickasha. They made their home in Pocasset. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pocasset and a charter member of the Pocasset Lions Club. He was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Myrtle Garrett, wife Mary Lee Garrett on Aug. 13, 2003, and sons David Garrett and Frank Garrett. He is survived by son and daughter -in-law Terry and Wynetta Garrett of Pocasset, brother Thomas "Calvin" Garrett of Oklahoma City, four grandchildren, John Garrett, Julie and Bryce Beaty, Tiffany and Kody Clouse and Timothy Garrett, five great grandchildren, Levi Garrett, Hunter Garrett, Piper Beaty, Blade Beaty and Emery Clouse. Rev. David Treadaway of the First Baptist Church in Pocasset officiated with burial in the Pocasset Cemetery under the direction of Huber~Reynolds Funeral Home in Minco. |
© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma 14 August 2003 Funeral services for Mary Lee Garrett, 82, of Pocasset, Okla., will be held at 20 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2003, at Pocasset First Baptist Church. Rev. C. A. 'Pete' Spradlin and Rev. Cletis Lee will officiate. Mary Lee Garrett was born Sept. 13, 1920, in Pocasset, and died on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2003, at her home in Pocasset. Burial will be in Pocasset Cemetery, Pocasset, under the direction of Huber~Reynolds Funeral Home in Minco, Okla. |
