Elias Russell Cocheran
July 28, 1922 ~ August 20, 2006


Funeral service for Elias Russell Cocheran, 84, of Amber, Oklahoma will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 23, 2006 in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home.

Elias Russell Cocheran was born July 28, 1922 in Verden, Oklahoma the son of Allie and Elva [Caldwell] Cocheran and died August 20, 2006 in Chickasha.

He lived in the Chickasha area all of his life. He and Margaret Sullivan were married May 3, 1943 in Verden, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death May of 2002.

Mr. Cocheran served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He worked for American Dusting Company and in later years worked as a farmer.

He was also preceded in death by: Parents, grandson: Terry Joe Cocheran; two sisters: Esther Drewry and Frances Kubik.

Survivors include: two sons and their wives: Russell and Debbie Cocheran; Joe and Charlotte Cocheran; two sisters: Alice Farley; Dorothy Hill; six grandchildren: Tony Russell Cocheran, Christinia Landrum, Kim Lanoue, Brad Cocheran, Heather Ford, Rhonda Wilmeth; eight great grandchildren: Shalyne Sanders, Hunter Ford, Kyle Ford, Bri'elle Cocheran, Taylynn Cocheran, Conner Lanoue, Zashri Cocheran; special friends: Chrisellen Mullins, April Pritchard and Terri Cope, Charles Giles.

Interment will be in the Pocasset Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Family visitation will be held from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at Sevier Funeral Home.

Margaret Lee [Sullivan] Cocheran
September 15, 1926 ~ May 16, 2002


Funeral service for Margaret Lee Cocheran, 75, of Chickasha, will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 20, 2002, in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home.

Margaret Lee Cocheran was born September 15, 1926, in Verden, Oklahoma, the daughter of Clarence and Hattie [Kinsey] Sullivan, and died Thursday, May 16, 2002, in Oklahoma City.

Margaret married Russell Cocheran on May 3, 1943 in Caddo County.

She was a sales person working for T.G. & Y., Hicks and the Dixie Store here in Chickasha. Margaret had lived in the Chickasha area most of her life.

She was a member of the Northside Church of Christ.

Mrs. Cocheran was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Hattie Sullivan; 3 sisters: Louise Sullivan, Norma Lee Todd, Marcalete Giles; two brothers: Levi Sullivan, Leroy Sullivan; 1 grandson, Terry Joe Cocheran.

She is survived by her husband, Russell Cocheran, of the home; 2 sons and their wives: Russell L. and Debra Cocheran, of Amber, OK, Joseph L. and Charlotte Cocheran, of Haskell, OK; 1 brother, Harold Sullivan, of Siloam Springs, AR; 1 sister, Francis Mayfield, of Decator, TX; 2 grandsons: Tony and Brad Cocheran; 4 granddaughters: Christina Landrum, Kim Lanoue, Heather Ford and Rhonda Cocheran; 4 great grandsons, 1 great granddaughter.

Pallbearers will be Tony Cocheran, Thonny Trammel, Jimmy Talbert, Donnie Todd, Gary Menefee and Rich Lanoue.

Interment will be in the Pocasset Cemetery, Pocasset, Oklahoma, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
